The ifb group jointly together with the providers of these social networks are responsible for these sites in terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

NATURE AND SCOPE OF PROCESSING

The ifb group, in charge of its sites in social networks, has made arrangements with the respective providers of the social networks LinkedIn, Xing, Instagram and Twitter regulating, among other things, the conditions for using its sites in the social networks.

If you, as a user or visitor, call up the sites of the ifb group in the social networks, their providers collect and process your personal data - even if you are not registered with the respective social network. 
For this purpose, social networks store a cookie on the user’s or visitor’s terminal.  Cookies are text files stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user's terminal. If a user calls up a website, a cookie can be stored in the user's operating system. This cookie contains a characteristic string enabling the browser to be clearly identified whenever the website is called up again. The duration of storage and the information about the use of cookies depend on the social network used.

The data collected by the providers during a visit to one of the ifb group’s sites is primarily gathered to disseminate individualized advertizing via the social network, to guarantee the functions of the website and to simplify its use. Comprehensive information on the data collected and its processing can be found in the terms of use and guidelines of the respective social network.
Any visitor or user may influence the level of detail of his or her own user behavior recorded by the provider of a social network by website settings in the respective social network or on his or her own terminal.

The ifb group publishes information on current publications, services and partnerships on the ifb group’s site on LinkedIn. While visiting the ifb group’s site on LinkedIn, the user’s or visitor’s personal data is collected and processed by LinkedIn Unlimited as provider of the social network LinkedIn according to LinkedIn's privacy policy.
Some of the personal data collected and processed by LinkedIn Unlimited on the occasion of the ifb group’s site being used is made available to the ifb group in aggregated form via user statistics. The user statistics provided by LinkedIn Analytics contain the following information:

  1. “like” statements
  2. impressions
  3. contribution interactions
  4. comments
  5. target group (professional group, seniority, industry, company size)
  6. location (country, city)
  7. shared contributions
  8. video views coverage (differentiation organic / paid content)

The user statistics compiled are sent to the ifb group in anonymized form only, and the ifb group has no access to the underlying data.
The ifb group uses the information obtained to design its services and offers on LinkedIn as required and to adapt them to the  requirements of the visitors or users.
In addition, demographic and geographic information is shared with the ifb group based on the information gathered by LinkedIn Unlimited. This information is used by the ifb group to target advertizing campaigns. In doing so, the ifb group does not have any knowledge about the identity of a visitor or user. When cross-device using a social network, acquisition and evaluation may also occur device independent if the user is registered in the network and logged in with its own profile.

Xing

On our Xing site the ifb group publishes job ads and news to trade fair visits with reference to recruiting. 
When calling up the ifb group site on Xing, the user’s or visitor’s personal data is collected and processed by Xing as provider of the social network according to Xing's data protection guidelines.
While using the ifb sites, some of the personal data collected and processed by Xing is made available to the ifb group in aggregated form via user statistics. The user statistics provided via the Brand Manager contain the following information:

  1. number of profile visits
  2. number of followers
  3. number of details as preferred employer
  4. number of page visitors

On the Instagram site the ifb group publishes information on current publications and services, provides insights into its trade fair presentations, its corporate structures and the environment of its consultants.
When visiting the ifb group’s account on Instagram, personal user or visitor data is collected and processed by Facebook Ltd. as provider of the social network Instagram according to Instagram's privacy policy.
Some of the personal data collected and processed by Facebook Ltd. on the occasion of the ifb group’s site being used the ifb group is made available in aggregated form via user statistics. The user statistics provided via Instagram Insights contain the following information:

  2. page views
  3. contribution coverage (differentiation of organic / paid content)

Legal basis for data processing

Processing personal data the ifb group is interested in providing users and visitors of social networks with up-to-date information and interaction options.

The processing of personal data is based on a balancing of interests according to Art. 6 Para. 1 Sentence 1 lit. f accounting for social network user and visitor interests.

DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL DATA

The ifb group has no influence on personal data being transferred to third parties by the provider of a social network. If a provider is based outside the European Union, personal data may be processed outside the European Union by the provider of the respective social network. If a provider is based in the USA, it is certified under the US – EU privacy policy agreement „Privacy Shield“ and obliged to comply with European data protection regulations.

The ifb group does not pass on personal data to third parties.
