History of the ifb group

1989 Founding of "ifb - Institut für betriebswirtschaftliche Beratung der Kreditwirtschaft, Horst Will & Partner", with a focus on risk management consulting
1990 Start of in-house software development
1991 Consulting and software range expanded by controlling solutions
1992 Service portfolio expanded to include regulatory law
1995 Start of the partnership with SAP AG (since 2002 as a Special Expertise Partner)
2000 ifb GmbH becomes also a training company
2001 Service portfolio expanded to include consulting and software for insurance companies
  Transformation of ifb GmbH into ifb AG. The company’s founder Horst Will appointed supervisory board chairman; Dr. Walter Herzog and Claus Stegmann appointed executive board members
  Start of VR Control project at hundreds of cooperative banks throughout Germany supported by ifb AG
2002 Expansion of consulting and software services to industries outside of the financial sector, initially focussing on risk management consulting
2003 Expansion of the service portfolio to include strategy consulting
2004 Expansion of the service portfolio to include accounting, reporting and audit-related consulting
  Founding of ifb International AG and regional ifb companies in Switzerland and China, expansion of international ifb group business
2005 In cooperation with four other corporate consulting companies, ifb group establishes BPM International, Europe’s first integrated consulting network for business performance management
2006 Founding of ifb Lux S.A. in Luxembourg
2007 Establishment of further ifb group companies (USA, France, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland)
2008 Expansion of the service portfolio to include business intelligence technologies
  Claus Stegmann and Christian Moser form the ifb AG executive board
  Helmut Späth elected chairman and Horst Will honorary chairman of the ifb AG supervisory board
2009 Opening of the new ifb AG company headquarters at Rheinauhafen in Cologne
  Software division hived off to the newly founded parcIT GmbH (Germany) with continued close cooperation
  SAP Core Banking hived off to the newly founded Axxiome Group (Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Uruguay)
